Move the cube and collect green spheres until it turned absolutely green before the time runs out.  The bar at the top indicates the greenish-factor of the cube. There are different modes that changes the color scheme and the consequences of missing a green sphere or collecting a red or blue sphere.

This short study is about Signal Detection Theory, which is about the ability to discern between signals and noise (distractions from the signal). It is also about how a person decides when there is uncertainty. Depending on the situation and the conquences of misperception the person will assume there was a signal or not and act accordingly.

How do you decide which sphere you will collect?

What is diffrent when the colors of the spheres are less distinct?

Try changing the consequence of what will happen when you collect or miss a sphere. How does that alter your decision criteria for the collection of spheres?

This was done for a university seminar in the summer term 2017.
